  1. Educational CNC Machines

There are two types of educational CNC machines. First being CNC Training machines and the second being CNC Semiproduction machines.

CNC Training Machines are PLC based indigenously designed machines in collaboration with CutViewer – United Kingdom. These machines can emulate Fanuc as well as Siemens controllers. MOP is a Fanuc emulated MOP for Manual Date Input. PC / Computer is used as Human – Machine Interface. There are two models in CNC training machines (For both Turning as well as Milling machines). One works with Servo motors while the other is equipped with Stepper motors. CNC Training machines from Hytech are FG32 grade CI based floor mounted machines which gives an actual experience of CNC machine operation.

CNC Semiproduction machines are equipped with industrial controllers such as Fanuc or Siemens. These machine generally come with an absolute controller with a three way communication between CNC, Digital Servo Drive and Digital Servo Axis Motor. Mechanically, each axis is with Linear motion guideways and class 3 ballscrews. Industrial Automatic Tool changer / Automatic Turret are also provided along with machine. In a nutshell, these machines are a smaller version of industrial CNC machines. Any operation that can be done on industrial CNC machines can be done on Hytech Semiproduction CNC machines. Participant who is trained on Hytech Semiproduction CNC machines will find it very easy to work on heavy duty industrial CNC machines.

  1. CNC Hardware Simulator:

There are two CNC Hardware simulators as follows:

FANUC CNC Simulator

Siemens CNC Simulator

Hardware CNC simulators are nothing but CNC controllers without the machine / motors. Students / participants get the freedom of CNC controller operation without the fear of damaging the machine. Instructors can also let participants operate these simulators freely to make them aware about the CNC controller features and also without the need of continuous monitoring during operation. CNC simulators provide hands on experience on CNC controllers which sometimes even an actual CNC machine fails to provide due to risk of accidents.

Also, the relative low cost of CNC simulators allows the training institution to provide multiple simulators which can cater for educational needs multiple participants.

  1. Fanuc NC Guide Software

NC Guide is a software developed and promoted by Fanuc. NC Guide software provides a screen which exactly represents Fanuc controller on a computer screen. Students can operate the Fanuc CNC controller on their computer screens which makes them aware about the various functions of Fanuc controller before they actually operate the CNC machine. Special academic price structure and a LAN based license makes this software affordable for even the smallest CNC training institutions which can provide training on world’s most popular CNC controller using NC Guide software.

  1. CNC Maintenance Training Kits:

CNC Maintenance kits are designed to provide hands on experience to CNC operators or application engineers. Basic function of these kits is to experiment with the electrical panel as well as the ladder diagram of CNC machines. Participants are trained to solve most of the commonly occurring issues / problems in CNC controllers. It not only involves ladder design but also involves electrical circuit design and understanding. Basic arrangements are provided to distinguish three phase and single phase power supplies. It gives participants necessary confidence and basic understanding of the electrical control panel. In short, the parameters which can not be modified or in some cases even can’t be seen in CNC machines can be operated on CNC maintenance training kits.

  1. CAD CAM Expert Module

‘CAD – CAM EXPERT’ module focuses on CNC training which starts from Level ‘zero’ or from scratch.

Students / participants first design a model in 3D on BobCAD software. They can design and simulate an entire machine on this software. Depending on the machine parameters, students can generate the NC codes from the BobCAD software and simulate the entire machining process.

The software is equipped with a NC code generation license which enables students to transfer the NC code (CNC Program) on any suitable device (USB device / LAN network). These NC codes can be then imported in Fanuc NC Guide software.

Fanuc NC guide is a software which exactly replicates a Fanuc CNC controller screen on computer. Students execute the program on NC Guide software with complete 3D simulation. This gives them hands on experience on Fanuc operational functions such as job setting, tool offset, work offset, tool calling etc.

Once the program is successfully executed on NC Guide software, the same can be executed on Fanuc hardware simulator. Advantage of hardware simulator is that it gives an exact experience of Fanuc CNC controller so that students can get necessary confidence to operate the actual machine. Hardware simulator is equipped with Speed as well as Feed override along with all other functions available on Fanuc MOP. It is nothing but an actual Fanuc CNC without the machine.

Once students are confident after successful execution on Bob CAD-CAM, NC Guide and Fanuc hardware simulator; they can proceed for actual machining operation on CNC turning / CNC Milling centers.

Once the actual machining process is completed on Turning / Milling centers, the entire process of design, NC code generation and machining can be termed as COMPLETE!

  1. CAD CAM Software (BobCAD)

BOBCAD is one of the most popular CAD-CAM software from USA. Educational package comes with turning, milling as well as 4 axes milling modules. The educational package comes with a CAM module which has almost all of the post processors which are most commonly used in indian manufacturing industry such as Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi etc.

BobCAD comes with a specially designed post processor which generates NC codes which can be directly executed on Hytech CNC machines. The cost (which is almost 1/3rd of the competitive software) makes it something that every CNC training institution should invest upon.
